Not following in sister Jill's footsteps! Jessa Duggar decided not to kiss her now husband Ben Seewald for the first time during their wedding ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 1, a source reveals to Us Weekly. The reasoning? The couple wanted to experience that special moment together in private.
The 19 Kids and Counting star, 21, and Seewald, 19, were feted by nearly 1,000 guests as they tied the knot at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Ark. The bride wore a beige-colored gown as her bridesmaids and maid of honor, younger sister Jinger, donned peach dresses.
During the ceremony, the bride and groom poured two vases of sand into one to symbolize their union, the insider adds. When Seewald put Duggar's wedding ring on her finger, she sweetly gushed: "That's so beautiful!"
Duggar, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar's fifth eldest child, and Seewald got engaged in August. During the duration of their relationship, they abided by the Duggar family's strict dating rules. Jessa's older sister Jill, 23, smooched her husband Derick Dillard for the first time in front of all their guests at their June wedding. They are now expecting their first child together, a baby boy.

Jim Bob opened up about his rules, which includes accompanying his children on dates, to ABC earlier this year. "As far as our kids dating, we believe a lot of times if you're alone with a person, it can create desires that can kind of get stirred up, and you don't have any accountability, and [that] can lead to some hanky panicky," he explained.
Michelle added: "We did not save our first kiss for our wedding day, and we really regret that we didn't. We really should have."
